The descendants of the Dutchman Cornelis Evertsz. Wijnkoop, better known in English as Cornelius Wynkoop, form the American branch of the Wijnkoop family tree, and it is the largest branch by far. Most of those descendants write their name as

Impressive research on this branch was done a long time ago by Richard Wynkoop, who published several books about his work. 'Wynkoop Genealogy in the United States of America', 3rd edition, by Richard Wynkoop was published by Knickerbocker Press, New York, in 1904. We refer to it as 'RWG3'. The goal of this page is to collect the results of our mutual research following Richard Wynkoop's work, and presents it here as a list of corrections and additions. And maybe, one day, together we will be able to publish RWG4, 'Wynkoop Genealogy in the World' !

Richard Wynkoop clearly structured his book. For the additions to RWG3 that you will find on this site, I copied the exact structure of RWG3. Each person is numbered, and the following list refers to those numbers:

I know it's not really much yet, but it's a start! I would really appreciate other Koops to join in and take over (parts) of this enormous job. But please, use exactly the same form of presentation as I do, to make a uniform web site - even though the data may be stored on different servers. If you have suggestions about improving the structure of the site, mail me right away! Also, if you want to know exactly how to make those pages, contact me and I'll be happy to tell you.

It doesn't matter at all where your data are situated, they can be on my server or on any other. After all, in the WWW it doesn't make a difference wether I make a link within one of my own subdirectories, or to a server in your part of the world. And obviously, you can still present the same information in another form on your home page - read (a little bit) more about this.
