Introduction to ‘Zeberdee’

‘Zeberdee’ is the working title for a project to develop a composition and publishing system.

Some of the key features are:

• Multiple Representation: an information object can be rendered in multiple ways, for example, a set of tablular data could be shown as a textual table or a graphical chart.
• Professional Typesetting: automatic ligatures; automatic support for ‘Expert’ fonts.
• Multiple-Media Output: the ability to render in many formats, such as PostScript and HTML.

‘Zeberdee’ will initially be made available to OEMs to integrate into their applications. If you would like to use ‘Zeberdee’ in your application, please contact me.

There are also plans to develop a ‘DTP’ application based on the ‘Zeberdee’ engine.
