The
beautiful town of Annecy, located in the French Alps near the Switzerland border, is a
magical place from all accounts!
Annecy
is known for the Lac d'annecy where one can engage in many different kinds of water sports
during the summer months and move to the mountains surrounding the lake during the winter
months.
Leading
to the lake is a tiny canal that is lined with boats for summer trips to the lake. This
canal is guarded by the Pont des Amours with its picturesque view of the bridge and from
the bridge. At the heart of the city is a little island building, Le Palais de l'Isle ,
that once housed a prison! It is surrounded on both sides by great cafés for exciting
summer sunsets over the lake.
